Slate Auto changes CEO months ahead of affordable EV launch

Slate Auto, the Jeff Bezos-backed EV startup, has replaced its CEO Christine Barman with former Amazon executive Peter Faricy just months before launching its affordable electric truck. Barman, who was one of only two women CEOs running a US automaker, moves to the role of President of Vehicles. The leadership change occurs as the company prepares to reveal pricing for its electric truck in June 2026.
