Adobe is debuting an AI assistant for Photoshop

Adobe is launching an AI assistant for Photoshop in beta, enabling users to perform image editing tasks through natural language prompts. The assistant can remove objects, adjust colors and lighting, and transform backgrounds based on text instructions. Adobe is also adding new AI-powered features to its Firefly media creation tool, including Generative Fill and object removal capabilities.

Background

Adobe has been integrating AI capabilities into its creative software suite, with Firefly serving as its primary AI media generation platform. The company previously announced AI features for Photoshop at its MAX event in October.
