A developer is testing experimental MAP-E support for OpenBSD, building on 2021 work with new patches and an automation daemon. The implementation is currently running on one Cosmote FTTH installation with another planned, and the developer is seeking community feedback and testing assistance.
Background
MAP-E (Mapping of Address and Port with Encapsulation) is an IPv6 transition mechanism that allows ISPs to provide IPv4 connectivity over IPv6-only networks. OpenBSD is a security-focused open-source Unix-like operating system.
