Intel makes a bid for handheld gaming PCs with new Arc G3 processors

Intel is entering the handheld gaming PC market with two new Arc G-series processors, specifically designed for gaming handhelds and featuring integrated Arc B-series GPUs. The chips, based on similar architecture to Intel's Core Ultra Series 3 but with customized CPU/GPU core configurations, will power devices from MSI, Acer, and OneXPlayer starting June 2026. This move challenges AMD's current dominance in the handheld gaming PC space with its Ryzen Z-series chips.

Background

The handheld gaming PC market has been dominated by AMD's Ryzen Z-series chips, which power most Steam Deck competitors. Intel has previously had limited presence in this space, with only a few devices like MSI's Claw using their mobile processors.
