SpaceX scrubs Starship launch after some of its engines didn't start

SpaceX scrubbed a Starship test flight after an automatic abort was triggered because some Raptor engines on the Super Heavy booster failed to start. Engineers are currently draining the propellant and replacing two engines, with the next launch attempt likely scheduled for early next week.

Background

Starship is SpaceX's fully reusable super-heavy lift launch vehicle designed for missions to Mars and beyond. The Super Heavy booster utilizes 33 Raptor engines, making reliable simultaneous ignition critical for successful liftoff.
