The Pixel 11's "glow" feature is actually called HiLight—here's what it does

Google's Pixel 11 series introduces a feature called HiLight, a multi-color LED inside the camera module that serves as both a flash and a notification light. When the phone is placed face-down, HiLight discreetly illuminates to alert users of calls from favorite contacts or Gemini interactions, effectively reviving the classic notification LED concept with RGB capabilities.

Background

Google is set to reveal the Pixel 11 series later this month, with leaks suggesting minimal changes from last year's models except for this new illuminated LED feature. The Pixel Fold has also received a smaller camera bump redesign.
