As part of Google Summer of Code 2026, Dimitris Gounaridis ported the Enlightenment desktop environment to NetBSD via pkgsrc, committing upstream portability fixes where necessary. The project built on prior work by the Enlightenment community and leveraged existing pkgsrc dependencies to get the desktop running on NetBSD 11.0.
