Firefox is now the last major browser that still supports uBlock Origin

Firefox has publicly committed to supporting uBlock Origin as Microsoft Edge moves to the restrictive Manifest V3 extension API, making it the last major browser to offer full ad-blocking functionality. Safari and DuckDuckGo also do not support uBlock Origin, leaving Firefox as the only viable option for users who rely on comprehensive ad blocking without using the limited uBlock Origin Lite version.

Background

Google Chrome initiated the migration from Manifest V2 to Manifest V3, which severely limits ad-blocking extensions' ability to intercept and modify network requests. Microsoft Edge is now following this Chromium-based approach, while Firefox maintains its own Gecko engine and continues to support powerful extensions like uBlock Origin.
