Netflix has announced that Blue Eye Samurai's second season will arrive in January 2027, alongside releasing the first trailer. The series has also been renewed for a third and final season. Co-created by Amber Noizumi and Michael Green, the animated series follows Mizu, a female samurai on a quest for revenge.
Background
Blue Eye Samurai premiered on Netflix in November 2023 to critical acclaim for its stunning animation and mature storytelling set in 17th-century Japan. The first season ended on a dramatic cliffhanger involving Mizu's true parentage.
