Harvard’s $699 startup bootcamp offers AI avatars of its instructors

Harvard Business School's $699 Foundry bootcamp now uses AI avatars powered by HeyGen to provide individual feedback during practice pitches and board meetings. A New York Times reporter tested the system with an avatar of Flybridge Capital's Jeff Bussgang and found the virtual version offered less engaging feedback, though students generally responded positively.

Background

Harvard Business School is expanding access to its executive education through AI-assisted platforms. The use of AI avatars in higher education remains a developing and somewhat controversial topic.
