Anthropic launched a browser-based tool that detects whether a file was created or processed with Claude by reading embedded C2PA content credentials—cryptographically signed metadata attached to supported file types. The tool operates locally without uploading files and currently identifies only image/video/audio formats, not text, which uses a separate Detection API in private preview.
