Krafton doubles down on India with another $250M bet beyond gaming

Krafton plans to invest another $250 million in India over the next 3-4 years, expanding beyond gaming into AI, robotics, and deep tech. This brings Krafton's total planned investment in India to over $500 million since 2021, separate from its existing $670 million growth fund with Naver and Mirae Asset.

Background

Krafton, the South Korean gaming giant behind PUBG and BGMI, has been expanding its presence in India, which is the world's most populous country with over a billion internet subscribers. The company entered India after the 2020 ban of PUBG Mobile, launching the localized BGMI in 2021.
