See Windows CE Running On The N64

A hobbyist has successfully ported Windows CE to run on a Nintendo 64 console, leveraging the similar MIPS CPU architecture found in both the N64 and an IVM Workpad Z50. The project, documented on YouTube and GitHub, includes running apps from an SD card within the Windows CE GUI.

Background

The Nintendo 64 uses a MIPS R4300i processor, and Windows CE is a lightweight operating system designed for embedded devices with minimal hardware requirements. This project continues the trend of pushing retro consoles beyond their original intended use.
