China’s drone supremacy shows in airlifting bodies and food after Nepal flood disaster

Chinese-made DJI FlyCart 100 drones donated by China are being used by Nepal's army for disaster relief after flash floods triggered by a glacier collapse killed over 1,300 people. The heavy-lift drones can carry up to 220 pounds, enabling them to deliver food supplies and remove victims' bodies from hard-to-reach flood zones.

Background

Nepal experienced devastating flash floods on August 26 after a partial glacier collapse in the Himalayas, prompting a large-scale rescue operation involving 21,000 police and soldiers. The UN has appealed for $20.5 million to support affected communities.
