Reviving the language that brought us the Jak & Daxter Series

OpenGOAL is a native x86-64 port project reviving Naughty Dog's proprietary GOAL language used to create the Jak and Daxter series. The project, started in 2020, has made the first three games playable with an active modding community and ongoing Q2 2026 updates including bug fixes, new mod features, and a refreshed launcher.

Background

The GOAL programming language was a custom language developed by Naughty Dog for their PlayStation titles in the late 1990s and early 2000s. OpenGOAL represents a community-driven reverse-engineering effort to preserve and enhance these classic games for modern systems.
