After the original Motif upstream project on Sourceforge went dormant over two years ago with no admin activity, developers have created an actively maintained fork. Led by Tim Hentenaar on GitHub, the fork has already seen five releases and incorporates legacy fixes from upstream and Gentoo.
Background
Motif was a pioneering GUI widget toolkit from the late 1980s that defined early Unix desktop environments before being superseded by GTK and Qt.
