Rocket Report: FAA eyes more Starbase traffic; India's Skyroot snares US customer

India's Skyroot Aerospace secured a US customer as California-based Reflect Orbital purchased two launches on its Vikram-1 and Vikram-1U rockets. Meanwhile, the FAA is expected to increase launch traffic at SpaceX's Starbase facility. The report also highlights Japan's upcoming MMX mission launching on an H3 rocket to explore Mars' moons.

Background

Skyroot Aerospace became the first private Indian company to reach orbit with its Vikram-1 rocket in July 2024. Reflect Orbital's concept of beaming sunlight from space-based mirrors remains highly ambitious with plans for ~50,000 orbital mirrors.
