Lenovo's Legion Go S with SteamOS is on sale at Best Buy for $999.99, down significantly from its original $1,579.99 price. The handheld features a Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, 32GB RAM, 1TB storage, and an 8-inch 1080p 120Hz IPS display, positioning it as a compelling alternative to the $789 Steam Deck OLED.
Background
The Lenovo Legion Go S launched initially with Windows 11 and the newer but less powerful Ryzen Z2 Go chip. This refurbished/reconfigured SteamOS version with the Z1 Extreme offers better performance at a reduced price, making it competitive in the growing handheld PC gaming market alongside Steam Deck and Asus ROG Ally.
