Firefox Local Mode, shipped in Firefox 153, allows developers to map local folders to custom HTTPS origins via DevTools, eliminating the need for a local HTTP server and enabling testing of Secure Context APIs with isolated storage per origin.
Background
Firefox DevTools has long included features to streamline web development; Local Mode extends this by allowing local file testing over HTTPS without external servers.
