Tactical-Retreat is a free, multi-platform open-source port of Counter-Strike v1.5 built on QuakeC using the FTE QuakeWorld engine and Nuclide project. It provides pre-built releases for Linux (32/64-bit) and Windows (32-bit), with source available for self-compilation.
Background
Counter-Strike began as a Half-Life mod before becoming one of the most popular FPS games in history. The Tactical-Retreat project repurposes Quake engine technology to create a standalone, cross-platform version of the classic v1.5 release.
