A fully playable version of the canceled Portal prequel F-Stop has been reconstructed from the massive Valve data leak, with additional assets shared via a Valve Cut Content Discord server. The game, which used a camera-based portal mechanic, was a precursor to Portal 2, with some elements eventually making it into the final game.
Background
The 12-terabyte Valve data leak from August 2024 contained numerous unreleased and canceled games, including early versions of Half-Life and Portal titles. F-Stop was a canceled Portal prequel that Valve internally developed before being scrapped.
