Scott Hanselman diagnosed an issue where his 10 Gigabit Ethernet setup was only achieving ~133 Mbps in iperf3 tests, eventually tracing it to an asymmetrical Windows/NIC problem with his Intel E610-XT2 10GbE adapter. After ruling out disk performance, SMB signing, and other common culprits, the bottleneck was isolated to the Windows network adapter itself.
