EDG C++ front-end goes public

The Edison Design Group (EDG) C++ front-end, long used as a reference implementation by major compiler vendors worldwide, has been made publicly available. This move opens the door for broader access to a high-quality C++ parsing and semantic infrastructure that has previously been commercial only.

Background

EDG's C++ front-end has been the backbone of many commercial compilers including Intel's ICC, IBM's xlc, and various other toolchains. Its reference implementation quality has set the standard for C++ compliance.
