Google has announced the Fitbit Edge, a mid-range wearable positioned between the Pixel Watch 5 and Fitbit Air. It features a 1.34-inch OLED display, IP68/5 ATM rating, seven-day battery life, and health sensors, targeting Charge 6 users seeking a more refined design at roughly half the Pixel Watch 5 price.
Background
Google acquired Fitbit in 2021 and has since integrated its tracker lineup into the Google Wear OS ecosystem. The Charge 6, launched in 2023, has been Google's primary fitness tracker but is showing its age.
