Google has introduced a new Android feature that allows users to seamlessly transfer passwords and passkeys between password manager apps without relying on CSV file exports. The system detects installed manager apps on the device and coordinates the transfer, letting users review and approve the migration with just a few taps. Bitwarden, 1Password, and Dashlane are among the initial supported apps, available on Android 8 and above.
Background
Google introduced its own password manager on Android in late 2025, and this new switching feature complements that effort by improving interoperability across third-party password manager apps.
