Hacking the Eufy Doorbell and Base Station

Researchers from Adepts of 0xCC published a detailed security analysis of the Eufy Doorbell and its base station, demonstrating remote jamming attacks that can disconnect the device from its management network and prevent video/audio streaming. The team also reverse-engineered the soundwave-based pairing protocol and recovered encrypted credentials from memory dumps, revealing vulnerabilities in how the device handles network authentication and data protection.

Background

Eufy is Anker's smart home security brand, known for its WiFi-enabled doorbells and cameras with local base station storage. IoT security research in this space has grown significantly as these devices become more prevalent in consumer homes.
