I changed my license to EUPL

Developer Henri Bergius explains his decision to switch his default software license to EUPL-1.2, citing dissatisfaction with permissive open source licenses that he believes have benefited large corporations at the expense of users and developers. He argues that strong copyleft licenses like EUPL close the SaaS loophole and ensure reciprocal licensing regardless of distribution method.

Background

Henri Bergius is a well-known Finnish developer and entrepreneur, creator of the Midgard web framework and co-founder of Flowhub. The EUPL (European Union Public License) is an OSI-approved free software license created by the European Union, designed as a strong copyleft license.
