Go's gopls now supports interactive refactoring through a new Language Server Protocol (LSP) capability for multi-step dialogs. Developed in collaboration with the Dart team, this open standard allows language servers to ask clarifying questions before applying code transformations. Support is already available in gopls v0.24.0 and the VS Code Go extension v0.56.0.
Background
The Language Server Protocol (LSP) is an open standard that decouples language-specific features from specific text editors, enabling tools like autocomplete, diagnostics, and code actions across editors.
