NetBSD GSoC 2026 Testing Compat Linux Syscall testing

As part of GSoC 2026, Henrique Brito worked on testing NetBSD's compat_linux syscall compatibility layer using the Linux Test Project (LTP). The project involved compiling LTP tests under NetBSD, fixing build dependencies like linux_glibc_devel, and documenting syscall emulation behaviors.

Background

NetBSD's compat_linux provides an in-kernel translation layer for running Linux binaries on NetBSD without full emulation. LTP is a widely used open-source test framework for validating Linux system call behavior.
