Nvidia announces native GPU programming in Rust

Nvidia announced official CUDA support for Rust, providing two paths for writing GPU kernels: one leveraging existing CUDA C APIs and another using the experimental CUDA Rust runtime. This marks a major step toward making Rust a first-class language for NVIDIA GPU development.

Background

Nvidia has historically only officially supported C/C++ for CUDA GPU programming, with Rust community efforts like `cudarc` being unofficial. This announcement represents Nvidia's first native Rust tooling support for CUDA development.
