Pyodide 314.0: WebAssembly wheels for PyPI

Pyodide 314.0 introduces a major breakthrough with the acceptance of PEP 783, enabling direct publishing of Python packages built for WebAssembly to PyPI. This release significantly reduces the maintenance burden by allowing package maintainers to distribute Pyodide-compatible wheels through the standard PyPI infrastructure, rather than requiring manual hosting by the Pyodide team. The update also includes improvements to JavaScript interop, Node.js socket support, and a new versioning scheme.

Background

Pyodide is a Python distribution for the browser and Node.js based on WebAssembly, allowing Python to run in web browsers. It has been gaining traction for data science and scientific computing applications in the browser environment.
