Free Stars: Children of Infinity, the official sequel to The Ur-Quan Masters by the original creators, has released a free combat demo on Steam and GOG. The demo features arcade-style fleet combat with nearly 40 ships, including all classic UQM vessels, across Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Background
The Ur-Quan Masters is a critically acclaimed open-source remake of the classic 1990 game Star Control 2. Free Stars: Children of Infinity has been in development since 2021 as its spiritual successor.
