Work on GEFS (the Good Enough File System) for OpenBSD progresses

Ori Bernstein continues development of GEFS (Good Enough File System) for OpenBSD, with updated code rebased and error handling improvements. The filesystem now includes userspace tools like mkfs, bugfixes forwarded from 9front, and a planned gefs control program for snapshot operations, though the consistency protocol remains the biggest outstanding challenge.

Background

GEFS is a modern filesystem imported from 9front into the OpenBSD kernel tree, designed by Ori Bernstein as a simpler, cleaner alternative to the existing FFS. It aims to provide good-enough performance with reduced complexity.
