XDOF, a robotics data startup founded by UC Berkeley researchers, is in late-stage talks to raise a Series B at a ~$1.2B valuation led by 8VC, just three months after its $70M Series A. The company builds teleoperation data pipelines for training general-purpose robots, with annualized revenue approaching $50M.

Background

XDOF was co-founded in 2024 by UC Berkeley researchers Philipp Wu and Fred Shentu, who previously developed GELLO, a low-cost teleoperation system for robotic arm control.
